Optimis presents award at the RTPI Awards for Planning Excellence 2018

The Planning Excellence Awards, which have been running for over 40 years, are the highlight of the Planning Calendar across the UK. They showcase exceptional examples of planning and celebrate the contribution that planners and planning make to society.  Optimis Consulting sponsored the Small Planning Consultancy Award which they won in 2017.

Managing Director, Justin Wickersham said “Our category attracted excellent finalists.  We congratulate them all especially our Winner Situ8 Planning Consultancy along with Urban Imprint Ltd and NRT Planning who achieved Judges’ Commendation.

Angela Warwick, Director of Situ8 said: “We were so proud and delighted to have been short listed as a finalist, which was achievement enough for a small planning consultancy of 7 people located in St Austell. Winning the category surpassed all our expectations. The RTPI awards have been in existence for 40 years and this year saw the highest number of applications nationally. On the night we rubbed shoulders with other national consultancies, council representatives and the esteemed judges and we held our heads high, proud to be representing Cornwall. It was a glitzy affair something like the BAFTA awards for planning.  We will use this recognition of our achievements to further promote Situ8’s passion and professionalism in shaping the built and natural environment of Cornwall.”
