Useful information on changes to planning fees in the new year

New legislation has been produced to increase planning fees by 20 per cent in England and introduce new categories regarding planning applications. There has been a delay in parliamentary approval of this legislation and therefore it is uncertain when the changes will take effect. However, it is possible to confirm that the action has not yet been scheduled in the House of Commons. Therefore, the legislation cannot take effect until 28 days after the House of Commons has approved.
