The Government is facing a legal challenge over the revised NPPF
A legal challenge has been made against the revised NPPF (2018) by Friends of the Earth on the grounds that the Government failed to assess its environmental impact and the new Framework was not subject to a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA).
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government said: “Environmental protection is at the heart of our new planning rulebook, setting clear expectations for future development. While this legal case is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
