Optimis Successfully Completes on Promotion Agreement in Steeple Claydon, Buckinghamshire

Optimis is pleased to announce the sale of land known as “Molly’s Folly” after outline planning consent was permitted for 90 dwellings, a convenience store, and land for a medical centre in January 2019.

Optimis entered the promotion agreement with the landowner in August 2016 and has worked with local stakeholders, residents and the Parish Council to deliver development that best suits the needs of the village. Working in collaboration with the community, the land was allocated in the Neighbourhood Plan and draft-allocated in the emerging Local Plan, ensuring that the proposals were viewed favourably when the outline application was submitted in March 2017. The proposed development achieved a resolution to grant planning consent, subject to s106, under officer delegated powers in March 2018. Following issue of the planning permission the land was sold to Kier Living in April 2019.

The sale of Molly’s Folly sees the first of Optimis’ promotion sites to successfully complete, with others expected to follow later this year having also been granted planning permission. In the coming months we hope to submit an application on our next promotion agreement and finalise the signing of two other new sites to continue our growing investment in development promotion.
