Optimis secures retrospective planning permission for the replacement of windows and doors in the Conservation Area

Permission has been granted for the retention of the UVPC windows and door on the front elevation of a semi-detached property in London, located within the Mill Hill Park Conservation Area. The previous owners had replaced the wooden windows and doors using UVPC materials, which conflicted with the guidance set out in the Conservation Area Management Plan.

Within the application submission, Optimis provided evidence highlighting a number of other properties within the area that had installed UVPC windows and doors. As a result, the LPA were satisfied that precedent had been established for the use of UVPC materials within the Conservation Area and retrospective permission was granted.
