Optimis secures permission for the development of 4 No. 1 bedroom flats in St Albans

Consent has been granted for internal and external alterations to an existing building to provide 4 No. 1 bedroom flats in St Albans. The site had previously been used as a Doctor’s Surgery, however the practice is relocating in light of the premises failing to comply with a number of safety, accessibility and suitability standards.

The approved development provides much needed housing in a highly sustainable, urban location within St. Albans. Furthermore, the LPA was satisfied that the proposals would be compatible with the scale, character and appearance of the existing building, the surrounding streetscene and this part of the St Albans’ Conservation Area.
