Optimis secures land for development in Steeple Claydon

Optimis has secured the allocation of land for the development of up to 110 dwellings, a doctors surgery and a retail store in the Steeple Claydon Neighbourhood Plan. The Plan that successfully passed its Referendum with 88% support was ‘made’ on 15th December 2017.

Optimis has worked closely with the community and the Parish Council to deliver a development concept that introduces opportunities for new facilities that were sought by the community. As well as providing an improved convenience store with off road parking the development scheme will also enable the existing doctors to relocate if they wish to expand their facilities.

The residential development will deliver up to 110 houses of which 31% will be affordable housing aimed at local needs. Furthermore, the site will offer 5 self-build plots to be delivered, set in a green environment with improved sustainable urban drainage and green spaces throughout the development.

Optimis has worked for two years to deliver a community led development and are delighted that the positive collaboration with the Neighbourhood Plan team has achieved a such a fantastic success.
