Optimis secures consent through appeals procedure in Sharpenhoe

Consent has been granted through the appeals procedure at Lynmore House in Sharpenhoe, Bedfordshire. The consent is for the formation of hardstanding and landscaping in front of the former public house, which is located in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and also in Greenbelt. There was a great amount of local opposition and local residents had particular interest in creating a village green immediately outside the property, however the Inspector felt that the proposed development would not have a harmful effect on the character and appearance of the area.
