Optimis secures approval for change of use from office residential unit under permitted development rights
Optimis is delighted to have secured prior approval for the change of use of an office (class B1) to a residential unit (class C3). The office space was unused and located on an upper floor of a parade. The parade consisted of retail units on the ground floor and primarily residential units on the first floor.
Optimis provided the necessary evidence to the council to demonstrate that the change of use was acceptable in terms of the General Permitted Development Order. Following consideration of the submitted documents, the council confirmed the prior approval would not be required and the premises could be changed under permitted development rights.
