Grace is promoted to Assistant Ecologist

We are delighted to announce that Grace has been promoted to Assistant Ecologist at Optimis Consulting.

Grace joined Optimis in the Summer of 2026 as a Seasonal Ecologist following her graduation from university. Grace supported the Ecology Team throughout the survey season with surveys and data collection. This included assisting with field surveys for protected species such as bats, newts, and reptiles. She also assisted with data collection, maintenance, and organisation of field survey equipment for both small- and large-scale projects. Her new role will continue to develop these skills whilst supporting with desk-based assessments and reporting too.

Joanne Makin, Ecology Associate, commented, ‘Since joining the team, Grace has shown dedication, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to ecology. Grace embraces new opportunities with both interest and a willingness to learn. She has developed her survey skills throughout the survey season and is a valued member of the team. We look forward to seeing her continue to progress within her new role at Optimis. Congratulations!
