Bedford Borough Call for Sites 2026 – Opportunity for Landowners and Developers

Following the commencement of work on the new Bedford Borough Local Plan 2050, Bedford Borough Council has launched its Call for Sites and Development Opportunities consultation.

Call for Sites – Open until midnight 30th October 2026.

The Council is inviting landowners, developers and other interested parties to submit land for potential future development. This includes opportunities for housing and employment. Sites submitted will be assessed by the Council as part of evidence base informing the preparation of the Local Plan 2050.

Why engage now?

The Local Plan 2050 will determine where future growth and development should take place across Bedford Borough. Promoting land at this early stage provides the best opportunity to demonstrate its suitability and development potential as the Council considers its future growth options.
