A Fantastic Day at the Blues Foundation Golf Day

Representatives from our Land, Planning and Ecology departments were delighted to attend the recent Blues Foundation Golf Day – a fantastic event that brought together great people, plenty of competition, and a shared commitment to a brilliant cause.
As we sat enjoying our breakfast rolls, chatting with our fellow competitors we watched rain, wind and even thunder roll across the course, fearing the worst. It felt as though the elements themselves were setting the tone for a challenging day ahead. Fortunately, those concerns soon gave way to a complete turnaround, with the weather clearing to reveal a beautiful afternoon and the perfect setting for a memorable round of golf.
We were especially pleased to sponsor one of the day’s standout challenges—the longest drive on Hole 12. This added an extra layer of excitement to the competition, drawing out some seriously impressive strikes. It was fantastic to see the level of enthusiasm and friendly rivalry from all participants, with everyone fully embracing the spirit of the occasion.
Events like this are about much more than golf. The Blues Foundation continues to do incredible work in the community, and it’s a privilege to play even a small part in supporting their efforts. The success of the day is a testament to the generosity and spirit of everyone involved.
A huge thank you goes to the Blues Foundation team for organising such a well-run and enjoyable event. We’re already looking forward to the next one and continuing our support for such an important cause.
If you’d like to see some highlights from the day, keep an eye on the Blues Foundation’s channels, where photos and updates from the event have been shared.
